Five fourth-grade classes, their homeroom teachers, our media specialist and I are working on this project together. Classes come to my technology lab each week for Integrated Technology. New for us this year is creating wikis. We are happy to be a part of collaborative learning- thank you!

Pat Gaines , 4th grade teacher, Belle Sherman Elementary, Ithaca, NY.

Last year I started sending my weekly class newsletter as a blog. It has been a great way for families and friends to respond to what the kids have to say each week. When I came across this project while searching some new material for our Haudenosaunee unit, I was delighted - another potential audience for the kids' work. I spent the day today learning more about wikis with the help of our technology specialists. Thanks for getting this started.
